💡 Product Research – Click here to open the tool
If you don’t yet have a clear direction for product selection, try SellerSprite’s Product Research tool — one of the easiest tools to get started with. It helps you discover promising products using intuitive filters such as sales growth rate, review increase, and more.
If Market Research gives you the macro view (choosing the right niche), then Product Research is the micro-level — helping you identify specific product opportunities. You can start with Market Research to narrow down a category, then use Product Research to find individual products — or do it the other way around.
For beginners, we recommend starting with the system’s preset selection modes, tailored for different seller types and needs. You can also fine-tune the filters to better suit your business.

1. Sales Surge Market
Filter: Monthly Sales > 300, Monthly Sales Growth > 10% (Preset: Rapid-Growth)
A spike in recent sales often signals high demand — this could be due to seasonality, holidays, emerging trends, or sudden events. Check the product's historical sales trend to tell the difference:
If the surge happens at the same time every year → seasonal or holiday-driven.
If the trend is flat but suddenly jumps → potentially a rising star.

2. Emerging Market
Filter: Monthly Sales < 600, Monthly Sales Growth > 10%, Listed within the past 6 months (Preset: Potential)
Low sales but rising fast? These products are new yet gaining traction — ideal for small to mid-sized sellers. You can also add a price filter (e.g., $20–40) to find products with a healthy margin and manageable startup cost.

3. Underserved Market
Filter: Monthly Sales > 300, Rating < 3.7 (Preset: Low-rated Sellers)
These products sell well despite poor ratings — meaning there’s room for improvement. If you’re a manufacturer or have product development capability, analyze the reviews, identify weaknesses, and improve the product to gain a competitive edge.

4. Low-Inventory Model (FBM First)
Filter: Monthly Sales > 300, Fulfillment Method: FBM (Preset: Fulfilled by Merchant)
Perfect for resellers or beginners who want to try with zero or low inventory. Use the “1688 Sourcing” or “Alibaba” button under product listings to quickly find suppliers on 1688 or Alibaba.

5. Opportunistic Market
Filter: Monthly Sales > 600, Seller Count > 3 (Preset: Competing Sellers)
These are high-volume markets with many resellers (piggyback sellers). Ideal for quick-win strategies or for new stores that need traffic fast — but be cautious not to infringe on trademarks or patents.

6. Beginner Picks
Filter: Monthly Sales > 300, Monthly Sales Growth > 3%, Price: $15–60, Fulfillment: FBA, plus keyword exclusions (Preset: Recommended for Newbies)
Specially designed for new sellers — this mode avoids cutthroat red oceans while still offering products with decent sales, reasonable prices, and healthy margins.

7. Custom Strategy
Once you’re familiar with the filters and have a strategy in mind, create your own selection mode.
For example, a small seller with limited capital might look for:
Monthly Sales > 500
Monthly Sales Growth > 10%
Rating Count < 50
Price: $10–30
Listed within the past 6 months

Combine filters from Emerging Market + Underserved Market to discover early-stage products with untapped potential — and win the market before others catch on.
